Secure Offline Translation

For documents that cannot be sent anywhere

Some material cannot be uploaded to a translation service at any price — unfiled contracts, tender documents before award, material under embargo, anything where a confidentiality undertaking makes transmission itself the problem.

We built a translation environment for exactly that: it runs offline, deterministically, and produces evidence of how it ran.

How the assurance works

• No network calls in the runtime — no machine translation service, no cloud inference, no external lookup
• Environment sealing — network and process state are tested and recorded before the run begins
• Tamper-evident audit — every action recorded in an append-only, hash-chained log; checkpoints cryptographically signed
• Input and output hashing — what went in and what came out, provably the same files
• Your rules, compiled — your requirements become a signed, versioned profile that the run is tested against
• Controlled destruction — retention policy enforced, with a certificate when material is destroyed
• Standard interchange — XLIFF, TMX, TBX and SRX, so nothing is locked in

What this cannot prove

This matters more than the feature list, and we would rather you heard it from us.

The system can show that a defined run happened inside a controlled environment, using approved deterministic functions and human work. It cannot establish what a translator may have consulted on a separate device. It cannot prove that material you supplied was never machine translated before it reached us. It cannot turn an unsigned human declaration into a technical fact.

Higher assurance is built by adding device custody, supervised transfer, identity controls and independent review on top of the technical evidence — not by claiming the software proves more than it does. A failed check is disclosed as a failure; it never quietly becomes a pass.

Current status

This is an early-stage system in active development. The processing pipeline and the audit catalogue are built and working; packaging and the full customer evidence package are still in progress.
