Who we are

What this notice covers
This notice covers information collected through our websites — including when you request a quotation, ask a question, or join a mailing list. Work we carry out for clients under a service agreement is governed by that agreement.
What we collect
When you request a quotation or ask a question, we collect the name, email address and any other details you enter, together with any document you choose to upload.
When you join a mailing list, we collect the name, email address, organisation and interest details you enter, along with the date of your consent.
When you visit the site, our hosting and analytics providers collect standard technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages visited.
Why we use it, and on what basis
- Quotation and enquiry details — to prepare your quotation and answer you. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- Documents you upload — used only to prepare your quotation and, if you go ahead, to carry out the work. We do not share them and we can delete them on request.
- Mailing list details — to send you the updates you asked for. Our lawful basis is your consent.
- Technical site data — to keep the site working and understand how it is used. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in operating the site.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
Where it goes
Our websites are hosted by Webflow and Microsoft Azure. Documents you upload are stored in Microsoft Azure. Mailing lists, where used, are managed by Mailchimp (Intuit Inc.), which stores data in the United States. These providers process data on our behalf under their own contractual protections, and transfers outside your country are made on that basis.
How long we keep it
We keep quotation enquiries and any uploaded documents for as long as needed to deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards, and we delete documents on request. We keep mailing-list details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, and we review the list periodically to remove contacts who are no longer engaged.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send, or by writing to privacy@uni-edit.net.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it. To exercise any of these, write to privacy@uni-edit.net and we will respond as promptly as we can.
If you are in the UK or the EU and you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you may complain to your national data protection authority.

We use cookies that are necessary for the site to function, and analytics cookies that help us understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may not work as well if you do.
Changes
We will update this notice as our services develop, and we will change the date at the top when we do.
