Uni-editは日本語、英語、中国語（繁体字、簡体字）および韓国語の翻訳サービスをご提供します。当社は学術分野の文章翻訳のエキスパートです。当社のサービスはあらゆるタイプの翻訳に対応いたします。

和英翻訳

Uni-editは会議、学術ジャーナル、政府、大学関連の和英翻訳を専門にお取り扱いしております。

* 医学、医学研究および薬学分野の専門的学術翻訳につきましては20％の追加手数料が加算されます。
* 法的文書の翻訳には規定追加手数料をいただきます。料金は原稿をお送りいただき次第お見積りいたします。

翻訳サービスお見積りについて

原稿ファイルを、Eメールにて、 ozyjapan@gmail.com までお送りください。無料にてお見積りさせていただきます。お見積り内容ならび料金にご同意いただいた後に、翻訳作業を開始します。ほとんどの場合、最終的な料金は見積り額と同額となりますが、万一何らかの事情により見積もり額から変更が必要な場合には、随時お客様にご連絡し、変更についてご相談させていただきます。

お客様の原稿の翻訳を担当させていただく翻訳者のプロフィールをご覧になりたい場合には、その旨お知らせください。翻訳経験豊富な優れた翻訳者が担当させていただくことにきっとご満足いただけるでしょう。

おためし翻訳

Uni-editはお客様との信頼関係を第一に考えています。
当社の翻訳サービスがどのようなものかを、お客様に知っていただけるよう、ご希望であればお客様の原稿の1～2節を無料にて翻訳いたします。
まずは原稿ファイルをお送りくださいこの際には、原稿内容を正確に把握するために、原稿全体をお送りください。お客様の原稿に関する秘密は厳守いたします。

守秘義務とプライバシーについて

お客様が数ヶ月あるいは数年かけて書き上げられた大切な原稿につきましては、その秘密を厳守し、責任をもって取り扱わせていただきます。Uni-editのスタッフは全員が、守秘義務保持に同意しており、お客様の原稿がUni-editスタッフ以外の目に触れることは決してございません。
また、お客様ご自身に関する情報につきましても秘密は厳守いたします。お客様の許可なしに同僚の方、共著者の方等に連絡することは一切ございませんので、安心してご利用いただけます。

フォローアップサービス

お客様からお預かりした原稿は、Uni-editの全力を尽くして最高級の翻訳サービスをご提供できるように努めてまいりますが、時には、最初の翻訳では完全にご満足いただけない場合もあるかも知れません。例えば、翻訳においては用語やフレーズの翻訳結果が必ずしも一通りとは限らないために起こり得る問題もあるでしょう。また同じ用語でも、翻訳者によって解釈が異なる場合もあるかもしれません。

Uni-editのゴールは、お客様が満足いただけるまでしっかりサポートすることです。翻訳完成後にも、フォローアップサービスをご提供します。
翻訳後原稿を読み直された後に、修正ご希望箇所がございましたら、原稿を再度私たちにお送りください。再翻訳いたします。修正箇所に関してお客様の方でコメントをつけていただければ（具体的にどのような訳を希望するか等）、翻訳結果はさらによいものとなるでしょう。

修正内容が元の原稿の意味に沿ったものであれば、2週間以内にお送りいただいた原稿については無料で再翻訳いたします。もし修正箇所が新しく追加された全く新しい意味の文であったり、元の原稿の意味に沿っていない場合のみ、追加料金をいただきます。たとえば、ジャーナル編集者の助言を元に追加された文章部分の翻訳に関しては、追加料金が発生します。

満足保障

万が一、翻訳内容にご満足いただけなかった場合には、無料にて修正させていただきますので原稿翻訳お受け取り後、2週間以内に当社までご連絡ください。なお、翻訳全体にご満足いただけなかった場合には、お手数ではございますが、ご満足いただけなかった理由を、例をあげてご説明願います。このような事態にかかる翻訳サービスの費用は一切いただきません。

私たちは翻訳サービスご提供の上で、お客様との相互理解、信頼関係を何よりも大切にしたいと考えております。

最高品質の翻訳のために

正確な翻訳とは、容易なものではありません。しかし、お客様とUni-editが共に協力し合うことで、
翻訳の結果をよりいっそう高品質なものとすることが可能です。その為に、可能であれば以下の各点にご協力ください。

1. 原稿に表、図、チャートなどが含まれる場合には、それらも全て添付願います（原稿とは別ファイルでもかまいません）。Uni-editの翻訳スタッフおよび校正スタッフが原稿内容をより深く理解するのに役立ちます。なお、これらの表、図、チャートの部分の翻訳が必要ない場合は原稿ご提出時にその旨お知らせください。これらは、お見積り料金には含めません。

2. すでに発行された同分野のジャーナルまたは会議用資料をお送りください（1部またはそれ以上）。Uni-editの翻訳スタッフおよび校正スタッフがお客様の原稿を翻訳、校正する際により適した用語、専門用語を選択するのに役立ちます。
　　
3. これまでに翻訳業者で専門的に翻訳された同分野の原稿をお送りください。Uni-editの翻訳スタッフがそれを元に翻訳作業時により適した用語、専門用語を選択いたします。（元の日本語原稿と翻訳後の英文原稿両方をお送りください。）

4. 原稿中の専門用語をどのように翻訳すべきかの対訳をリストにした「和英対訳リスト」があれば、ご提供願います。Word形式、Excel形式または原稿中に添付する形でお送りください。

翻訳サービス所要時間について

標準サービス
Uni-editはお客様が厳しいスケジュールの中、原稿を準備されていることを理解しております。
お見積り時に締切日を設定させていただき、その日までに翻訳作業を完了させることを保証いたします。所要日数に関しては原稿の容量や複雑さ、サービスレベルによって異なります。例えばFluentレベルをお選びいただいた場合、所要日数は7日～10日となっております。

特急サービス
お急ぎの場合には、特急サービスをお選びください。
一般的な概要(サマリー)作成の場合は、48時間（2日間）以内に翻訳作業完了を保証致します。標準サービスでは、通常会議用資料は3日(休日は含めず)、ジャーナル用原稿は5日(休日は含めず)を頂きます。特急サービスご利用の際には、通常料金に加え、手数料50％をいただきます。

超特急サービス
更に緊急に翻訳が必要な場合には、24時間以内(休日は含めず)＊での作業完了を保証する超特急サービスを、ご利用ください（＊通常の場合）。
限られた時間内での最高レベルの翻訳サービスをご提供できるよう努めます。が、完璧な翻訳結果になる保証はいたしかねます。超特急サービスご利用の際には、通常料金に加え、100％の追加手数料をいただきます。

翻訳者と校正者について

Uni-Editは、特に学術、科学、技術分野の翻訳を専門とする、100名を超える、プロフェッショナルで熱意あふれる翻訳・校正スタッフを取り揃えたプロ集団です。
当社スタッフは日本語、英語、韓国語、中国語の豊富な知識の上に、各学術分野の専門知識も有しております。また、各分野において高度な学歴と豊富な翻訳・校正経験を持っております。

当社スタッフには日本語、英語、中国語、韓国語の各ネイティブスピーカーが揃っており、Uni-editがお客様からお預かりした原稿は当社プロジェクトマネージャーが熟考の上、ベストと判断した担当スタッフに作業を委託します。
なお、お客様の方で、ご希望の担当スタッフを指定していただくこともできます。

Translation Service Overview

Uni-edit offers translation service for Japanese, English, Chinese (China), Chinese (Taiwan), Chinese (Hong Kong) and Korean. The service is designed specifically for academic, scientific, social science and technical texts.

The service is suitable for: journal papers for publication in international journals (including cover letters and response to reviewer letters), conference papers, books and book chapters, master theses, PhD dissertations, grant applications, research proposals, abstracts, presentations, CVs and professional profiles, government reports, business reports, and websites.

Submit a manuscript for a quotation or translation

Japanese into English

Uni-edit specializes in the translation of Japanese into English for submission to conferences, journals, government departments, and universities.

* Texts about medicine, medical research, and pharmaceuticals incur a 20% surcharge.
* Legal documents incur a surcharge. Please ask for a quotation.
* For translation services, there is a minimum fee of 9000 Yen.
 

Quotations for translation

Please email ozyjapan@gmail.com your manuscript for a quotation. The quotation is provided free of charge and there is no obligation to proceed. We will proceed with the translation only after you have agreed to the quotation. Typically, the final price is the same as the quotation. If for any reason the price should differ, we will contact you beforehand to discuss changes with you.

Also, you may request to see resumes of the translators who would be responsible for your translation. In that way you can feel confident that a suitably qualified person is taking care of your research.

Sample translations

To help build trust between Uni-edit and the author, Uni-edit will gladly perform a sample translation of one or two paragraphs. Please send us your full manuscript though so that we can properly understand the topic. Your manuscript will be treated confidentially.

Confidentiality and privacy

Uni-edit understands that authors entrust us with their research, which has taken months or years to produce and is often highly confidential. We respect the trust authors place in us and reciprocate by treating each and every text as confidential. All staff have agreed to confidentiality conditions. Your manuscript will only be seen by Uni-edit staff and will never be posted anywhere public. Furthermore, each customer's identity will remain confidential. Uni-edit will never contact your colleagues (e.g. coauthors) without your permission.

Follow-up service

We appreciate that your research is complex. We will do the best we can to produce a high quality result; however, there is always a chance some ideas will be 'lost in translation'. This is because there is often more than one way to translate a term or phrase and because different people interpret language in different ways. Uni-edit's goal is to support you, so we offer a follow-up service. After you receive the translation and review it, you may like to make revisions to translated text. After making revisions, send us the manuscript again and we will revise the translation. You can do the revisions in Japanese or in English, whichever is more convenient for you. You can even insert comments to explain the text in more detail to the translator and editor. This all helps to improve the translation result.

If your changes are to clarify the originally intended meaning then there is no extra charge for the follow up service, as long as it occurs within 2 weeks. If your changes are new text for new ideas, concepts or changes to the original ideas, then there will be a charge. For example, changes based on journal reviewer suggestions, the newly translated or edited parts will incur additional charges.

Guarantee of satisfaction

We will rectify any problems you find with the translation, free of charge. We understand it might take you a week or two to revise the translation, and we will wait up to 2 weeks. If you are not satisfied with the overall translation, please inform us why you think the translation is sub-standard, providing examples, and you will not need to pay for the services provided. We hope to build trusting relationships with authors based on mutual understanding and cooperation with the challenges involved in translation work.

How to get a top translation result

Accurate translation is a challenging exercise, and some collaboration between Uni-edit and the author(s) can significantly improve the quality of the outcome. These are optional, but there are several recommended ways in which authors can help:

1. Include all figures and tables with the manuscript. The translator and editor will read these to better understand the text. If you don't need the figures or tables translated, please specify that when submitting, and it will not be included in the fee. Figures and tables can be in the same file or in a different file.
2. Send us one or more high-quality closely related journal or conference papers that have already been published. The translator and editor will study these to better understand the details of the topic and will match the terminology used.
3. Send us a related paper that you have had professionally translated. The translator will study this and translate terms and concepts consistently. Please provide both the source Japanese and the final English version.
4. Prepare a translation glossary. This is a list of terms in Japanese and in the target language, e.g. English. The terms included should be those which a particular to the topic of the manuscript. This can be done in a Word file, Excel spreadsheet or by embedding the terms in the manuscript. Click here for examples.
5. Website links: Please supply any related website links.
   
6. Share with us any concerns you have such as unsatisfactory experiences with previous translations.

Turnaround times

Standard speed service
We understand that you may be working to tight deadlines. With the quotation, we will set a deadline and promise to finish before that deadline. The time requirement depends on the difficulty and length of the text and the service you choose. Typically, fluent service for a journal paper would take 7 to 10 days, as an example.

Urgent service
An urgent service is available. A typical abstract can be translated within 48 hours. For the standard service, a typical conference paper will take 3 business days, and a typical journal paper 5 business days. An additional fee of 50% applies.

Last minute service
Uni-edit offers a last minute translation service. Typically the turnaround is 24 hours of a business day. We will provide the best quality translation we can within the agreed turnaround time. Due to the rush, we can not guarantee the quality of the result though. An additional 100% fee applies.

About the translators and editors

Uni-edit specializes in the translation of academic, scientific and technical texts, including research papers. The team of over 100 translators and editors are dedicated and passionate about the challenges of translating academic works. Every translator and editor not only has an excellent command of Japanese and English, Korean or Chinese, but also is a subject matter expert in a field of study. That means they possess a higher level degree in the field or have extensive experience working in that industry.

Some of the team members are native-speakers of Japanese, and some are native speakers of English, Chinese or Korean. The project manager will assign the best expert for each job, and if you have a preference, please let us know and we will accommodate.

We accept these formats: Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, PDF, and HTML. If you have a different file format, please ask and we will try to accommodate your preference.
